The Raiders have a lot of work to do this offseason. Of course, this always seems to be the case. So, why does this offseason feel different? For one, it seems like they may have finally hired the right guy for the job, in new head coach Klint Kubiak. Kubiak is a rising star, and was one of two star candidates in this year's coaching cycle, the other being Jesse Minter, who was hired by the Ravens, which you can check out in our Ravens blog. The Ravens struggled mightily in 2025. From Lamar Jackson's nagging injuries due to lack of capable pass protection, to John Harbaugh's denial to make necessary changes because he would prove he may not be the smartest guy at the end of the bar. I look for a big bounce back season in 2026, with a healthy Jackson, a new coach, and improved bodies in the trenches. Check out our Ravens blog, for more details.

The Louisville athletic program has been a bit of a mess for a while. That seems to be changing with the hiring of local and former player Jeff Brohm to coach the football Cards. Last year brought new coach Pat Kelsey to the men's basketball team, and Jeff Walz seems to have the women's basketball team playing back to their old form. Dan McDonnell's diamond Cards, got off to a bit of a rough start, dropping 2 of their first 3 in a weekend series with unranked Michigan State. The pitching staff may be an issue here.
